chocolate chip cookies

So after tons of searching and trying out cookie recipes over the last several several months, I finally found one that I am in love with that taste just AMAZING!! Wanted to share... it's pretty simple :)

27 min | 20 min prep
7 dozen cookies
  1. Cream shortening, butter, and sugars in large mixing bowl; blend in eggs and vanilla.
  2. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
  3. Mix until well blended.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 375° for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. If you like chewy cookies, adjust the baking time accordingly.
I watched my cookies pretty carefully. I have a bad habit of burning stuff. And I think I baked mine in my warmer cooking oven for about 8.5-9 minutes. They turned out perfect.... a teensy bit crispy on the edges and chewy in the center. JUST how I prefer my cookies. So yummy.

**I found this recipe at: It's where I get most of my recipes. Check it out if you haven't already. You'll love them!**

Also, we are still on a whole foods diet (except for yesterday when I taste tested everything I baked about 12 times) so I didn't keep these for us *sigh* though they were absolutely delicious!

    1. Mmmmmm, sounds good! I need to make some desserts for company that's coming over tomorrow, and I think I'll give these a try. :)

I am so happy you are here. Your words make my heart so happy.
