this morning....

Ohhhh, this morning. It's been fun. This weekend has been full of fevers, headaches, vomiting, and diarrhea. I know... awesome right? I had fever and puking and headaches. And Jonyn had fever and diarrhea. In fact, the boys went to stay with their KK and GG last night. Our very good family friends.

Yesterday my brother came to see us. He lives back home in OK and was out on a job in Midland so decided to come visit us for a few hours on his way back through. I was super happy to see him, but could barely keep my eyes open. I felt bad. But I was glad he finally got to meet his littlest nephew. So after he headed out, KK and GG came and got the older two boys to let them spend the night. I was so grateful. Jonyn and I  had a great nap late in the evening. And before I knew it it was close to 10pm, so we headed to bed around 10:45. I think we all fell asleep really fast. Jonyn stayed in our bed all night last night and didn't sleep great, but I don't either if I'm sick. The baby and I had already planned on skipping church this morning so no one else gets infected by our grossness.

So Toby gets up and around and leaves for the church right at seven this morning. I tell him bye and please shut off all the lights when he leaves. I go back to sleep. About 30 minutes later I wake up to a nasty smell. I'm pretty sure J is dirty. Yep. It's more than dirty. It's diarrhea all over my bed next to my pillow, all over the baby, and all over his pass (our nickname for the pacifier). Awesome. So I get him undressed and just go straight to the tub and hose him down while he just cries. Yeah, I feel like an awarding winning mommy right about now :( . I'm making my baby stand in the shower before breakfast and get hosed down the same way we hose down our pups. Just great.

So I call Toby and have him bring me some diapers from the church. Yes, church, we 'borrow' diapers in times of emergency. I just don't have enough cloths to make it through a whole day of diarrhea. Plus I had a messy bed to clean up before I could go to the store. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure it's on me too because I can smell it, but I can't see it. So he brings me some, I get J lotioned, diapered, and fed. Time to tackle the bed. Finally it's all cleaned up, and now Baby Boy is laying here in my arms fighting the sleepies. Hopefully he'll crash soon and I can hop in the shower and get myself some breakfast before morning sickness takes over.

Ahhh what a morning....

  1. Oh friend...I feel for you!! It is NOT fun when you're preggers and nausiated and your baby has a blow out!! :o/ I remember when Abby was about 7-8 months old and I was pregnant with Emma. I walked in her room one morning and at some point in the middle of the night she had puked EVERYWHERE and then...ROLLED AROUND IN IT!!! It took everything that was in me not to start throwing up everywhere myself!! But to make matters worse...I washed that girls hair like 50 times and it STILL smelled like puke...I couldn't breathe through my nose when I was holding her for like 3 days!! LOL hahaha Oh...those were good times!! :o)

I am so happy you are here. Your words make my heart so happy.
