the trip... part 3

So on our way to Florida, we decided ahead of time that if we saw something we wanted to see or do, we'd stop and take our sweet time. SO glad we did. We saw a sign that said something like "Big Branch Marsh Wildlife Refuge" so we decided to take the exit coming up for it and check it out. We'd never seen an actual real marsh. It was worth a peek. When we got there, they gave us this little map with marked trails that we could walk to see the sights. So we did. LUCKILY, I had packed some socks and tennis shoes, which I rarely wear these days, 'cept in the winter. So I changed out of my cute Payless BOGO sandals, grabbed my camera (with the strap this time), put on my sunglasses,  got my hair in a pony tail, and grabbed a bottle of water out of the ice chest. It was H O T people! But it was really neat, and fun for Toby and me to do something so simple together [without munchkins]. Here's some of my favorite photos from that little excursion :)

This one is probably my favorite, and the first one I took:
There were some HUGE ant hills ya'll...
And black and red grasshoppers were a first for me... ain't he cute ;)
These were SO.GOOD!
Cute little fountain/sitting area...they had benches...
We're a bit out of focus, but eh, what can you do ;) It was hot, the camera was heavy.
The trees seemed to go on forever...
This looked kinda gross... thick and sludgy.
uh, random... don't know what to say here...
This was the top of the path looking down where we had just came from.... next time, I'll show you what this path led to...

Peace out homies...
