on tuesday

 She ran away from home.

Usually, she darts out of the house through the front door, then comes home a short time later.
Or she digs a new hole under the fence and runs to the front door to be let in because she's tired of being outside.
One day after I took these photos (on Tuesday), she climbed under the fence.

And ran away.

And never came back.
We've been checking the pound animal shelter every day to see if she's been picked up.

Not so far.

Our theory? She's such a sweetie sugar pie honey bunch that someone probably kept her.

Or she got hit by a car.

So now, there are whispers among the locals of a new dog or puppy possibly coming to town.

As the sheriff, I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I see the good and the bad points of this happening.

Though, at the shelter, there was a sweet female 2 year old tan and white basset hound that one of the boys actually said, "She wants us to take her home with us."

My heart almost died.

Right then.

It was too sweet and sad all at the same time.

She was really pretty.

And super sweet.

And had an owner that has not come to find her yet.

Today was day 3 of her being in there (not good for her life span).

If she's still there Monday? {we might get her}

[trying something new and slowly making changes. bear with me.]
