hi 2011

I'm just now saying hello to the new year. It's true.

I slept through last year rolling over into this year. But it's all good. Me and 2011 have an understanding. We do.

I'm going to be a better Mom and Wife and Believer. And hopefully a better friend, too.

Resolutions? I don't really have them. At least, I don't think I do. I never commit to something and call them New Year's Resolutions. I don't think I ever have.

And even if I did, I wouldn't put the stereotypical stuffs on my list.

I do have goals for this year. My first goal is to make a list of goals. Really, I want to make a list of monthly goals at the start of each month. I like lists. My goal is to stick to my lists. Does that sound confusing? After re-reading that, it just sounded like ramblings.

Oh wait, I'm good at rambling.

Anyways, so I made my January 2011 Goal List today. I'm up to 13 things I want to do this month. I won't go over 15. That's another goal. Keep it real. Easy stuffs I can do through out the month. Don't make it overwhelming or so impossible only a real super hero with speed as their super power could get it all done.

I have things like clean out the stove and fridge as a goal. We had a leaky tea pitcher, and an exploding (almost) stove. It's time to scrub both down.

And organize the boys clothes. It's time to rotate in and out sizes for the babies. And the big kids, too, I suppose.

Read half a book is on my list. I just have to find the right book now. Making daily To Do Lists... that's on there too. I might get more done that way. Maybe. Or maybe not. But definitely hopefully.

[Oh, I'm also making a list of books I want to read in 2011.]

Blog more is a goal for January. And getting rid of a huge dresser in my room. And cleaning alllll the blinds and window sills up in this joint. They're dusty as all get out!

At the end of the month, I'll see how far I got on my monthly goals and try to figure out why some things did not get done, understand what I can do different for the next month. My goals are going to be posted on my desk. So I can see them everyday, since I seem to stop and sit at my desk everyday.

I have goals. Mom-ish goals, mostly. But goals, nonetheless. I'm excited about the possibilities 2011 is bringing. I'm in prayer about some things that God is placing on my heart to pray about. Maybe I'll share someday. For now, I'll just pray. And purposefully make this year even better than the last.

Happy 2011, peeps. Make it a great year!
