disaster and bliss

I seriously don't know how it happens. All I know is that one toddler plus one [walking] baby plus one half a day equals a disaster so big, I don't even know where to begin:
And I'm not even showing you the surfaces of the house, you'd be frightened. How does it happen? And p.s. it looks worse in color, hence, the black and white.

Also, in this town, it seems that after it rains, there are uninvited guests that make their way into the homes of the unsuspecting. I was more than creeped out. Okay, so it's not all that totally huge, but it is THE biggest spider I have personally ever caught inside my home.

And sometimes, my baby walks right up to my desk, crawls under and makes his way between my knees, hands reaching with random objects in tight fists. I scoop him up and spin in my chair. This direction, then the other. Snot and drool falling shameless down his happy little face. I thought children this happy were only fairy tales. Seems my baby is the meaning of bliss.

  1. Beautiful. The mess, your baby...and maybe even the spider. Life is a beautiful mess. And how does it get messy so quick? Thanks for keeping it real here.

I am so happy you are here. Your words make my heart so happy.
