simple moments :: week 16

 if you are playing along, we are on week 16 of finding the small moments in our week that we don't want to forget when we are in other stages of life.

It's a small little thing, the band-aid. Yet, kids adore them. A couple of days ago, Jonyn knocked over a bench onto his big toe and requested a band-aid to make it better, even though the injury was internal. He's okay now, by the way. It started turning dark blue for a second, and I thought we were going to have to run to the clinic. but. no, it immediately went pink again, so we're good.

But jonyn's request for band-aids had B asking for one, too. He brought some to me to open for him, and showed me just where it should go.

I was instantly reminded of how all the other kids were the same way....always wanting a band-aid. They love those little things. It probably helps when they are designed with characters and other things. These had angry birds on them.

B would take a few steps then reach down and pat his band-aid. Perhaps to make sure it was still firmly attached?
I guess after a while, he took it off. I don't know really.

I love that a small, little band-aid brought such joy for my tiny two year old. It made him happy. I was glad to be part of his temporary band-aid bliss. He's so cute, and unbelievably smart. And even without a band-aid... he's the happiest kid I know.

simple moments: previous weeks

simple moments is about finding the small things that make up our everyday, things we want to remember and be thankful for. it's the little bits of our lives that might not be remembered when we are gray and old. so we document it, on paper, with a photo, through a blog. join me?

curious: would anyone be interested in a linky and linking up together to share in our sweet memories?
